hotels with kids palm springs

Palm Springs is one of the most kid-friendly destinations in North America. The weather is perfect, and there are a plethora of activities for children including water parks, pools, miniature golf, movie theatres, and the famous Living Desert. The airport is a dream to fly into (hello, open-air!) and there are over 5 car rental places available onsite. You can be at your hotel and poolside in 30 minutes.  As it is such a popular spot for families, there are a ton of kid-friendly resorts in Palm Springs. Here is a list of hotel recommendations in Palm Springs for families:

OMNI RANCHO LAS PALMAS IN RANCHO MIRAGE

With a lazy river, waterslides and a small “beach” for sandcastles, the Omni Rancho La Palmas is the ideal hotel for a family with young children. The hotel itself could use an upgrade, but if you are looking for a hotel to keep the kids busy, look no further. Located in the central city of Rancho Mirage.

Palm Springs City Hall

JW MARRIOTT DESERT SPRINGS IN PALM DESERT

One of my favorite hotels in Palm Desert. They have a massive pool, tennis courts and a golf course on site. Parents can take turns playing golf while the other tours the family around looking at the onsite parrots, swans and taking a boat ride on the hotel lake. Four pools, flamingos, lawn games and miniature golf. Children approved!

RENAISSANCE INDIAN WELLS RESORT AND SPA

With corn hole, ping pong, foosball, and a massive pool, the kids will be occupied with plenty of things to do. There is a sandy beach attached to the pool complete with sand toys for little ones. This hotel was recently renovated and is located near the living desert and the famous shopping street, El Paseo. Probably one of the best hotels in Greater Palm Springs for families. They have another location in Palm Springs but I wouldn’t say it is AS kid-friendly.

CONSIDER AIRBNB OR VRBO AND LOOK AT A COUNTRY CLUB

Greater Palm Springs is brimming with country clubs and gated communities. While many areas have short-term rental restrictions, you can still find great rental properties in the area. These communities have a ton of swimming pools, on-site restaurants and are conveniently located. I’d recommend looking in either Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage or Indian Wells. La Quinta is nice too but about 40 minutes away from Palm Springs, so not as central if that is important to you. Check out VRBO, Airbnb or Acme House Co for listings.

Golf course - Best Time to Visit Palm Springs

Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

One of the ultimate hotels for kids in Greater Palm Springs. Indian Wells is really central, and more laid back than Palm Springs. The pool at this resort is huge, and there is plenty of room for the kids to run around. You are likely to meet other families, and there are a spa and golf course on-site for some parent time.

Residence Inn Palm Desert

There are two-bedroom suites at this Marriott resort in the central city of Palm Desert. Golf nearby and a family feel.

Shadow Mountain Resort & Club

This resort is HUGE! There are a plethora of rooms available, including small rooms and large villas. They are known for their tennis courts, and also have a golf course and large swimming pool making it an ideal kid-friendly resort in Palm Springs.

The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa

One of the top-rated golf resorts in Greater Palm Springs. Another resort with a large pool and “so much room for activities!!”.
