The Best Palm Springs Wedding Venues

Today I’m sharing the best Palm Springs wedding venues, not only as a frequent visitor and former resident but also as someone who planned a Palm Springs destination wedding last fall. Thinking about getting married in Palm Springs? I’ve compiled a list of Palm Springs wedding venues and Palm Springs wedding estates based on my extensive research and knowledge of the area.

When I was planning our wedding, I looked into things like curfews, alcohol laws, permits, venue capacities and of course the aesthetic. There are so many dreamy Palm Springs wedding venues, it just depends on the style you are looking for, what is most important to you, the guest count, and your budget. These are my personal favorites that I bookmarked and seriously considered.

Palm Springs Wedding Venues

Colony 29

Colony 29 was one of the first wedding venues to catch my eye. The property is over 12,000 square feet, with separate areas for both the ceremony and reception onsite. This was perfect as I knew we wanted a venue where we could host both parties onsite as opposed to shuttling guests to a second venue. It is beautifully situated at the foot of the San Jacinto mountains, with those dreamy desert and mountain views. Whitney Port had her wedding here, so look to her for inspiration if you go with this venue!

• Capacity: 250
• Curfew: 10pm
• Accommodation? Yes. There are 6 separate houses with 13 bedrooms in total. Sleeps 26 people.
• Restrictions: Requires a 3-night stay minimum with a full buyout of the property.

Colony Palms

Colony Palms is one of the most picturesque boutique hotels in Palm Springs. They offer 3 options for wedding locations. In the garden, in the Palme d’Or villa (once the part-time residence of Frank Sinatra), and poolside weddings. I love the vibe of the poolside look, especially when the pool is lit up at night and complimented with twinkly hanging string lights. This was one of the venues we were serious about booking had we gone the hotel wedding venue route. This hotel is located in the heart of Palm Springs, but on a quieter street in the movie colony. It is a beautiful Spanish-inspired hotel with original Spanish Colonial architecture. There is a delicious onsite restaurant, the Purple Palm, for guests to enjoy meals and poolside service.

• Capacity: 50 for Palme d’Or villa weddings, 30-200 for poolside (full buy-out only), 100 for garden
• Curfew: 10pm
• Accommodation? Yes. There are 57 rooms at the boutique hotel
• Restrictions: Some wedding options require full hotel buyout.

The Parker

One of the most iconic Palm Springs wedding venues. I’ll start off by saying if you are looking for an affordable Palm Springs wedding, The Parker is probably not it. However, there is a reason it is one of the most popular places to get married in Palm Springs. The stunning grounds were designed by Jonathan Adler, a famous home accessories designer. The Parker wedding venue is thirteen acres with 144 rooms and villas. A truly picture-perfect wedding venue.

• Capacity: Seated 250, Standing 400
• Curfew: 10pm for outside, later if inside for a fee
• Accommodation? Yes.
• Restrictions: Preferred caterers only. Need a guaranteed number of hotel rooms booked to host wedding there.

Casa De Monte Vista

This quaint mansion-style Palm Springs wedding venue is perfect for small and intimate weddings with three different options for both garden, lawn and courtyard weddings. It is located in the historic Old Las Palmas district, with a dreamy Spanish style. I love the desert meets jungle vibe of the intimate courtyard.

• Capacity: 100
• Curfew: 10pm (strict).
• Accommodation? Yes. 6 casitas onsite.
• Restrictions: Site fee for wedding reception and ceremony

Korakia Pensione – Kaylchip Favorite

Want to get married in Palm Springs at a venue deemed by the New York Times as “One of the sexiest hotels in America”? This hotel is positively swoon-worthy with Moroccan and Mediterranean influence in both architecture and decor. This hotel has been featured in Architectural Digest, HIP Hotels and Condé Nast Traveler, Vogue, Elle, and Marie-Claire. The venue is so romantic, and a perfect place to get married in Palm Springs. • Capacity: 130 (smaller, elopement style options available)
• Curfew: 10pm
• Accommodation? Yes. Hotel has two sides, Moroccan and Mediterranean
• Restrictions: Minimum 2-3 night full buyout of all 28 rooms. Site fee of $2500+. Preferred caterers only. Outside venue options only.

Ace Hotel

Looking for a funky out of the ordinary wedding? The Ace Hotel always delivers. They never discriminate, so you can do your wedding, your way. I love the Ace Hotel as a place to go lay by the pool, but it wasn’t my personal style for my wedding. What I loved about the venue was that they offer a 1am curfew, unprecedented in the Palm Springs area. So if you are a pool partier and cocktail lover, The Ace Hotel might just be your venue.

• Capacity: 150 seated, 200 standing
• Curfew: 1am
• Accommodation? Yes. The hotel offers special rates for hotel guests.
• Restrictions: Catering must be provided by Kings Highway, the onsite restaurant. You must use the alcohol provided by venue or pay a fee to bring your own.

Villa Royale

One of the dreamiest hotels in Palm Springs, this 1940’s hotel was given a modern makeover in 2017. The 3.5 acre property has multiple courtyards, 3 pools and 38 design-forward villas. Your guests won’t want to leave, and they won’t need to. The onsite restaurant is a local favorite with tapas-style cuisine, Spanish wines and boozy cocktails. This is the perfect Palm Springs wedding venue for an estate feel with hotel amenities.

• Capacity: Over 100
• Curfew: 10pm
• Accommodation? Yes. The hotel 38 villas.
• Restrictions: Contact hotel for updated information

Avalon Palm Springs

Another quirky boutique hotel set under the stunning San Jacinto mountains. The hotel has a very laidback vibe to it. There are four options for reception areas and a plethora of catering options to suit your style. You do have to use the catering and hotel alcohol services, so that will play a role in affordability. For more information, check out their wedding brochure.

• Curfew: Contact hotel for updated curfew information
• Accommodation? Yes. The hotel 13 bungalows.
• Restrictions: Catering must be provided by Avalon. You must use hotel alcohol services.

Lautner Compound

I love the Lautner Compound for its desert vibes. It reminds me of a compound you’d find in Joshua Tree mixed with dreamy mid-century modern vibes. It truly is the epitome of old Palm Springs. There are three boutique properties onsite, all redone. The Park is their new 10,000 sq.ft outdoor event space, The Ranch House is their California Bungalow and The Hotel Lautner is their popular hotel/wedding venue.

• Capacity: Up to 350
• Curfew: 10pm
• Accommodation? Yes, The Ranch House and Hotel Lautner
• Restrictions: Music Outdoors only, Outdoor venue space only

Elope in Joshua Tree

Speaking of Joshua Tree, this California National Park has become a hotspot for elopements in the last few years. Tie the knot in an intimate desert setting as the sun dips behind the mountains. You will need a “Special Use Permit”. You can submit an application at least 30 days prior to your elopement. Right now it is $120. There are so many beautiful spots to choose for your elopement. Your photographer should be able to help suggest locations based on your specific style (jumbo rocks versus a viewpoint overlooking the fault lines etc). You can also choose to get married at one of the properties in Joshua Tree where you can stay the night or weekend.

Palm Springs Wedding Estates

When we were planning our Palm Springs wedding, we quickly realized that we wanted to book an estate. We loved the idea of turning our destination wedding into a weekend affair. Most estates are more lenient on the 10pm curfew restriction than most Downtown Palm Springs wedding venues which was important to us. Lastly, we knew we wanted a venue where most of our guests could stay on the property.

We had less than 50 people at our wedding. Most of these estates can host massive gatherings, so it was important for us to find one that could accommodate our best friends, but also stay intimate. Below is a mix of large, sprawling estates and a few more intimate places to get married.

Old Polo Estate

The Old Polo Estate was one of the top venues on our list! It is so dreamy, and the perfect venue for a large wedding. If you want to turn your wedding into a weekend affair, check out this estate. It is over 5 acres and located just a mile from the Stagecoach and Coachella grounds. The capacity is 300, but you can host larger events by paying an extra security fee. There is a picturesque lake on the property and a pool, games room and golf for you to enjoy throughout the weekend.

• Capacity: 300
• Curfew: Contact estate for update curfew times. It says 10pm but might be flexible.
• Accommodation? Yes, sleeps 20
• Restrictions: Estate Rules

Frederick Loewe Estate

If you have always dreamed of getting married in Palm Springs for that iconic midcentury modern aesthetic, this estate is a must-see. Formerly owned by Frederick Loewe, this stunning venue situated on a hillside offers 360-degree views of Palm Springs and chocolate mountains. The glass-walled 5000 square foot home is the perfect private oasis to host your guests, complete with a pool, spa, grotto and tennis court. The grounds feature waterfalls, fountains, and greenery, creating a spa-like hideaway. I can just imagine the parties that happened here in the 1960s.

• Capacity: 180
• Curfew: 10pm
• Accommodation? Yes, 4 bedrooms
• Restrictions: Three-night minimum required during season

Desert Ridge Estate

For the party animals. We toured this estate and loved it. We went in a different direction because our guest count was so small, but this would be the perfect place for a large wedding full of guests that like to have fun. They were very lenient on curfew as the estate is located off the beaten path. While this is conducive to privacy and late-night parties, I didn’t love that there wasn’t easy access to coffee shops and grocery stores for the guests staying on the property. That being said, this venue is laidback, has its own private lake, an infinity pool and plenty of room for activities. Fun will definitely be had.

• Capacity: 200
• Curfew: None
• Accommodation? Yes, accommodates 30 guests
• Restrictions: Weekends are a 3-night minimum

Twin Palms Frank Sinatra Estate

Frank Sinatra and Palm Springs are synonymous. You can’t have a more Palm Springs style wedding than by celebrating with a martini and the Rat Pack blaring through vintage speakers at the Twin Palms Frank Sinatra estate. Sinatra’s original recording studio is still in place (although not set up for use). Located in the Movie Colony district, the location of this estate is perfect. You have the privacy of an estate but are close to the vibrancy of Downtown Palm Springs.

• Capacity: 150
• Curfew: 10pm
• Accommodation? Yes, 4 bedrooms
• Restrictions:  3-night minimum, preferred caterers only, no amplified music allowed

Merv Griffin Estate

40 acres. 13 bedrooms. An onsite orchard and stables! 3-acre lake!! Infinity pool into said private lake!!! This estate is something out of a fairy tale. This Moroccan inspired estate has over 5,400 sq ft of living space and 11 bathrooms. It is also the priciest venue on this list, with nights averaging around $14,000. If money is no object, book your Palm Springs wedding here. And invite me please.

• Capacity: 1000!
• Curfew: Flexible
• Accommodation? Yes, 13 bedrooms and 8 buildings.
• Restrictions:  3-night minimum, preferred caterers only, no amplified music allowed

Bougainvillea Estate

Saved my favorite for last <3 Our wedding venue. Going to try to type this without tearing up. This was the venue of my dreams. The estate features 9 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a private lake, tennis court, large pool and spa, movie theatre and games room. The back area where the pool is located is so picturesque and intimate, which is what we wanted considering our guest count was so small. We envisioned a Friday night happy hour, Saturday wedding, and a Sunday pool party with NFL set up in the movie room. This all came true, and made for an epic wedding weekend with our nearest and dearest. • Accommodation? Yes, sleeps 20
• Restrictions:  3-night minimum, extra fee for certain rentals and pool heating
